The size and shape of the big bubble will depend very much on the weather conditions at the time. The skill is knowing when to close off the bubble and releasing it, otherwise the bubble will pop. Many bubbles can be produced from one dipping as long as they get released properly. The really long Bubbles are tubular in shape. Best weather conditions to produce Giant Bubbles are just after a storm.

Hold top bubble of caterpillar with bubble wand. Add extra Bubbles by blowing through a straw into the end bubble (you may have to dip straw into the solution occasionally). |
The longest Bubble Caterpillar that I have managed to do was 24 Bubbles long (Is this a World Record?).
For best results do activity inside, keep out of windy conditions.
By combining bubbles many different shapes can be formed, even a Square Bubble.
